Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium to participate in ISNTD Connect webinar
The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium has been invited to participate in a webinar hosted by the International Society for Neglected Tropical Diseases (ISNTD) on Tuesday 10 November.
Entitled New pediatric treatment to fill gaps towards the elimination of schistosomiasis: a scientific journey for and with society, the webinar will take place from 15:00-16:00 (CET) and will feature talks from three consortium members:
- Dr Jutta Reinhard-Rupp (Merck), Chair of the Consortium Board, who will provide some background information on schistosomiasis and the ongoing efforts in the fight against the disease
- Dr Remco de Vrueh (Lygature), Global Program Coordinator, who will talk through the work of the Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium and the progress of the program to date
- Dr Maurice Odiere (KEMRI), Clinical Trial Principal Investigator, who will speak about the role of partners in endemic countries, with a focus on the clinical development side of the project
The webinar forms part of a series on online meetings organized by ISNTD in an effort to continue discussions and knowledge sharing during these times of suspended face-to-face meetings. Bringing together researchers and professionals in the fields of neglected tropical diseases and public health, the webinars are open to all and free of charge.
