The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium: an EDCTP success story
The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium has been featured in the latest issue of the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) e-Magazine, with a focus on the work of the Consortium and interviews with two of our project members, Maurice Odiere (Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI)) and Beatrice Greco (Merck).
In the feature article, Maurice talks about the Consortium’s Phase III trial, completed towards the end of last year, while Beatrice focuses on the Consortium’s innovative approach to ensuring equitable access to the new treatment for preschool-age children, once registered. Ahead of the release of the e-Magazine feature, the Consortium was highlighted as an EDCTP2 success story during a webinar celebrating the launch of the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking. Dr. Jutta Reinhard-Rupp, Chair of the Consortium Board and Head of the Global Health Institute at Merck represented the Consortium during the event. A recording of the webinar will soon be available and shared via the Consortium channels.
The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium is part of the EDCTP2 program supported by the European Union.
