Consortium featured in 1st JAGntd newsletter

The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium was featured in the first issue of the Japan Alliance on Global Neglected Tropical Diseases (JAGntd) newsletter.

The newsletter introduces public health challenges for preschool-aged children with schistosomiasis and the Consortium’s efforts in addressing those.

JAGntd is an alliance consisting of organizations and individuals working towards the global effort of eradication, elimination and control of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). It promotes Japan’s contribution to global NTD work.

Remco de Vrueh, Coordinator of the Consortium, comments on behalf of the Consortium: "We appreciate that JAGntd picked up on our work and that they shed light on the important public health issue schistosomiasis poses. The Consortium is currently working towards the start of a Phase III clinical trial, followed by registration and access of a novel orally dispersible tablet formulation for the young children currently left without proper treatment”.
