The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium supports first ever World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day

This Thursday, 30 January, marks the inaugural World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Day, an initiative created to draw attention to priority issues surrounding NTDs and the efforts being made to combat them.

Falling on the anniversary of the landmark 2012 London Declaration on NTDs, which united partners in the drive for greater action on NTDs, the Day intends to inspire further commitment and support for this cause.

As a project focused on making a meaningful contribution to tropical medicine, the Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium is proud to be amongst the more than 230 partners from around the world to have signed up to support World NTD Day.

It is believed that 2020 will be a decisive year for NTDs with new goals to guide progress until 2030. This first ever World NTD Day is the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on NTDs and call for action to #Beat NTDs: For Good. For All

As a committed partner, the Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium will continue to progress its programme to reduce the global disease burden caused by schistosomiasis.
