9th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health 2015

The Pediatric PZQ Consortium will have a significant presence at the 9th European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health (ECTMIH 15: September 6-9, 2015, Congress Center in Basel).

Around 2,000 leading scientists and experts in the field of neglected diseases and global health are expected to attend, and contribute to ‘Driving the Best Science to meet Global Health Challenges’.

As an exhibitor, the Consortium will be welcoming participants to its booth and exchanging information and data on the Pediatric PZQ program – showing current status and future activities. Abstracts to detail formulation and clinical-related elements have been accepted by the congress.

Consortium partner Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany) will be contributing to the debate on global health challenges by hosting a Scientific Satellite Session (September 7, 12:15-13:15) on ‘Co-infections: its impact on Neglected Tropical Diseases’. Three external panelists will talk about female genital schistosomiasis and health systems, the association of the schistosome infection with inflammatory response profiles and the challenges of co-infections, in particular Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) and HIV.

The aim is to provide a forum for discussion and promote dialogue amongst scientists and experts towards addressing co-infections and, more broadly, global health challenges.

The Consortium partners look forward to seeing many of you in Basel!
